Nadia Vella

Nadia trained at Hertfordshire Theatre School, UK, graduating in Musical Theatre. She studied further at Trinity London, obtaining Licentiates in Music Performance (Classical Singing) and Vocal Teaching guided by Gillian Zammit. She studied the Melofonetica Method with Dr Matteo Dalle Fratte. She has been described by Times of Malta critics as a 'coloratura tour-de-force' (Albert Storace) with a ‘hauntingly beautiful’ (Andre Delicata) and ‘angelic voice’ (Pauline Fenech). Her versatile credits have seen her walk the boards in Malta, Germany, Italy and the UK. Nadia’s roles include Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), Christine (Phantom of the Opera), Wednesday (Addams Family), Countess (Don Juan on Trial), and Soprano (Handel's Messiah) to name a few. She also plays an opera singer in the award-winning film Blood on the Crown and songstress Karolina in the popular TV series Chalet. Nadia has performed in a wide variety of festivals and as a soloist with The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Malta Concert Orchestra and Showbiz Pops Orchestra UK. As part of the Abos Project by Festivals Malta in collaboration with Marco Mencoboni she recorded a Lamentazione set to be released in 2022 and was a participant in masterclasses by operatic legend Jose' Cura.
