Trakadum is a group of enthusiastic humans from all around the world, founded in Malta in 2017. They have been studying world rhythms, creating polyphonies, and playing with instruments from Afro-Brazilian and West-African origin, crafting and merging world rhythms.
Trakadum Batucada is the root project of Trakadum where an ensemble of percussionist are playing energetics polyrhythms with afrobrazilians drums like carnival parade style (or static) with joyous choreographies that would leave not one indifferent and static. The performance is leading by a director, which will guide the dynamic of the rhythm trough musical arrangements.
