Fuq tal-linja ma’…! [= on the bus with…]

What is more iconically Maltese than its traditional bus?  Call it nostalgia, call it a love for colour, quirkiness, and Mediterranean-ness, I miss these buses in our streets!  This is a chance to get into the bus in your locality and have a wander around, whilst engaging in something many Maltese love to do – a chat!  Although sadly some of these traditions are being lost to the passage of time, there are a few things that are typical of our gorgeous, welcoming, and fun-loving island (…as they say – in Malta, every excuse is a good excuse to celebrate) – good food (and wine!), the passiggiata (like the traditional Italian 'passeggiata' …a leisurely stroll, usually in the evening, for the purpose of socialising), chatting on little stools and chairs on the pavements outside one’s home, and a little bit of gossip, perhaps?
