The first għana to be presented during the first edition of Festgħana will be the winning għana tal-fatt from the course on għana tal-fatt focusing on the Port Region. This piece has been selected from submissions by participants in a competition.
For this first edition, the chosen fatt, written by Bradley Cachia is called Traġedja Ġo Kordin (A Tragedy in Kordin).
Festgħana intends to continue to present more competitions related to għana tal-fatt and contemporary themes each year.
