Gozo End of Summer Fest
The Gozo End of Summer Fest returns for three evenings full of music, dance and all-round fun from 13 to 15 September. Once again, the event will take place in picturesque Żewwieqa in Mġarr Harbour in Gozo. The weekend of celebrations will give both locals and visitors the chance to experience wonderful local entertainment.
At a time when families are preparing for the next school year and the excitement of summer is beginning to wane, the Gozo End of Summer Fest refuses to let summertime joy end. It is a weekend of music and fun for people from all walks of life and of all ages.
Gozo may be tiny, but it is rich in history, cultural heritage and plenty of talent. Throughout the year, Gozo’s calendar of events brims with the fascinating, the fabulous and the fun – and, the island’s End of Summer Fest is all three combined and more! The festival is organised by the Ministry of Gozo in collaboration with Festivals Malta, and it is an opportunity for locals and visitors to bask in Gozo’s rich heritage
Rock Legends
Friday 13 - 10:00pm
The festival opens on Friday 13th at 10:00pm with the second edition of ‘Rock Legends’ – a rock concert featuring the bands ‘Strait Ahead’ and ‘The Rock Troupers’, alongside singers Kenneth Calleja, Leo Stivala and
Chris Grech.
Summer Carnival
Friday 14 - 7:00pm
On Saturday at 7:00pm, Mġarr comes to life with the second edition of the Summer Carnival with street parades featuring a total of 12 triumphal floats, grotesque masks, 8 dance companies, 3 local band clubs and live entertainment by ‘The Jazz Knights with Pennydix Band’. On this night, visitors will be offered two ‘park and ride’ services from the Gozo heliport and Qala Street to
Żewwieqa, and back.

Jazz Do
Sunday 15 - 8:00pm
The festival comes to an end with the sixth edition of the ‘Jazz Do’ on Sunday at 8pm. The concert will feature ‘Dominic Galea: Generation’, ‘Angie Vella Zarb Trio’ and ‘The Malta Concert Orchestra.
