A set of five grotesque masks depicting five popular Maltese proverbs: “Min jorqod ma jaqbadx ħut” (those who are lazy miss out a lot), “Aħjar għasfur f’idejk inkella mijja fl-ajru” (it’s better to appreciate what you have in hand than what you see fluttering around), “Min ma jilħaqx l-għeneb jgħid li hu qares” (Sour grapes), “Ħanżir taqtalu denbu ħanżir jibqa” (a leopard cannot change its spots), “Bla flus la tgħannaq u lanqas tbus” (without money there’s little one can do).
