British / Australian vocalist Hetty Kate has been described as “the real deal” and “one of the best swing vocalists on the current scene” (Will Friedwald, USA). Instantly recognizable by her pure tone, swinging, straight ahead style and natural musicality, these qualities have seen her perform at clubs and festivals from New Zealand to New York. She has been based in Paris since 2017.
Hetty has released nine acclaimed albums, and her most recent release Under Paris Skies made it's debut in the Top 10 of Jazz Albums in Japan. Touring regularly, Hetty has performed at the New York Winter Jazz Festival (USA), Sapporo International Jazz Festival (Japan), Ascona Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Prague Proms (Czech Republic), Melbourne International Jazz Festival (Australia) and the New Zealand International Jazz Festival – as well as many more. Career highlights include singing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic; performing at the Sydney Opera House; and touring internationally as the featured vocalist with Australian jazz luminary James Morrison’s award-winning symphonic concert ‘The A to Z of Jazz’.
