Biography
William Smith is a drummer, percussionist and composer who is currently based in the Netherlands. He has performed in various venues in Malta and the Netherlands including the Malta Jazz Festival, Bimhuis as well as various smaller jazz clubs in the Netherlands. He has also played and toured extensively with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. Joining William will be Dominic Galea; a pianist and composer who has won various awards in song festivals both locally and abroad, and has also performed in numerous Jazz and Cultural festivals around Europe, and Oliver Degabriele; a bass player, composer, sideman and co-leader with over 20 groups (based both in Paris and Malta) spanning different genres. He has toured extensively around the world in various festival and club circuits (Jazz à Vienne, Montreux Jazz Festival, Malta Jazz Festival, and many others).
The trio will be playing a selection of music from some of their favourite composers such as Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell and Wayne Shorter, as well as material from the Great American Song Book.

Biography
Swing Nuages is a fun-loving swing and jazz manouche band, born from a season of jam sessions in summer 2014. They perform uptempo and retro music inspired by the style of Django Reinhardt, who popularised the 'hot' jazz genre in the 1930s. The band play a repertoire of songs synonymous with Reinhardt, as well as other standard jazz tunes adapted to the swinging style.

Biography
Anthony began his musical training on drums and piano. He later switched to bass guitar and upright bass. Anthony has taken part in numerous musical projects and performed with a number of bands such as KomoKuba and Nicky Bomba & The Malta Ska Orchestra. Anthony has also played with numerous band leaders in Malta including Dominic Galea, Joe Debono, Vinny Vella Jr. and George Curmi.

Biography
PlaKard is a contemporary progressive jazz band formed as 'The PlaKard Project' in Malta in August 2016 by bassist Matthew John Scicluna and drummer Kyle Drakard. The band launched their debut gig featuring Warren Galea as guitarist in January 2017. A few days later, Matthew Camilleri joined the band as a guitarist and in April 2018 the band released their debut album 'Jump The Fence'. In April 2019, The PlaKard Project toured the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) showcasing their debut album 'Jump The Fence' together with Jes Psaila on guitar and James Cummings on Alto Saxophone. 2020 marks a year of change for PlaKard, yes that's right, we are PlaKard! Kicking off the year with a line - up change, as well as rebrand. The band welcomes Patryk Cutajar aka ' Ricky ' on Guitar. New material is in the progress of being written as PlaKard prepares to unleash upon Malta's upcoming Festivals as well as opportunities internationally.

Biography
Maltese jazz saxophonist and composer, Carlo Muscat, describes his musical journey as an awakening process - one that is ceaseless, expressive and allows for freedom of interpretation. He made a name for himself through the local performances he gave around the island as he slowly began collaborating with renowned local and international musicians.
Carlo has recorded three albums as leader, his more recent being a duo album co-led with Ukrainianpianist Elena Pogulyaeva, interpreting works by some of the most important Ukrainian composers of the 20th century. Apart from his home country, he has performed in various cities around France, Italy, Germany, Turkey. He continues to work on subsequent volumes and to study music, exploring uncharted domains upon which to develop.

Biography
Joseph Camilleri grew up in a musical family (his grandfather Frank 'Bibi' Camilleri was a well known Maltese jazz pianist, whilst his father Joe was the principal percussionist for the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. He began learning classical piano at a young age, eventually shifting to percussion under his father's tuition. He attended private lessons and masterclasses by several distinguished drummers including Asaf Sirkis, Efrain Toro and Ze Eduardo Nazario, and holds a BMus (Hons) degree in music from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. Joseph is currently a percussion teacher at the Malta School of Music, and has hosted workshops for aspiring drummers at the X4M Perform School in Torino, Italy. He performs frequently both locally and abroad, with notable performances including the Beyond Boundaries folk festival (Bulgaria), the International Jazz Day in Bergamo, Sunset-Sunside jazz club (Paris, France) and he has performed at four editions of the Malta Jazz Festival. In May of 2016 Joseph recorded at Studios de la Seine in Paris, on Maltese saxophonist Carlo Muscat's album entitled, 'Explorations' and in March 2019 recorded at Studio De Medoun in Paris with Blue Tangerine for their debut album.
