THIS MIMICRY OF LIFE
MIAF is launching a series of videos to foster the collaboration between local artists. THIS MIMICRY OF LIFE is a new chreography by dance artist Pamela Kerr. Set to be a solo percussion music composition entitled French Suite by William Kraft performed by Luke Baldacchino. This project is produced by MIAF in collaboration with SPAZJU KREATTIV.

Pamela Kerr Biography
Pamela Kerr started her ballet training at the Tanya Bayona Academy. She spent some time studying at the London Studio Centre, and after returning to Malta resumed her dance training locally under the direction of Theresa Lungaro Mifsud. She also started exploring contemporary dance under the guidance of Francesca Abela Tranter. She participated in various festivals and performances, both locally and abroad. She has also collaborated with various dance artists and companies. In 2012 she became the Artistic Director of DanceWorks. Today Pamela works as a freelance choreographer and dancer. In 2018 TAG, a performance she codirected and choreographed with Kostas Papamatthaiakis, was nominated for Best performance for young audiences for the 2017/2018 season. She has also been asked to be artistic coordinator of a V18 international project ‘Orfeo and Majnun’. She teaches classical ballet at The Dance Workshop Malta.
Luke Baldacchino Biography
Luke Baldacchino is a freelance multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer, and certified music educator. He has performed as a percussionist with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra as well as a wide variety of artists and companies, both locally and abroad. Luke is Founder and Director of both The Tailors (an eclectic music-entertainment ensemble) and Ritmik. He is the Music Leader for Opening Doors Malta, and conducts several educational and artistic projects for children and youth.
