Caterina Iora graduated in Opera Singing from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan under the guidance of Margaret Hayward. She later earned her degree with top honours under the mentorship of Luciano Pavarotti, and further refined her technique with Luciana Serra and Dante Mazzola in classical and romantic repertoire, as well as with Roberta Invernizzi in early music.


She has collaborated with prestigious ensembles such as I Barocchisti, I Cameristi del Teatro alla Scala, Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri, La Barocca, Canto di Orfeo, Ensemble Zefiro, Cappella Mauriziana, Monteverdi di Cremona, and Solisti della Svizzera Italiana, performing under the baton of distinguished conductors including Giovanni Antonini, Ottavio Dantone, Diego Fasolis, Gianluca Capuano, Giulio Prandi, Federico Maria Sardelli, Alessandro De Marchi, Luca Guglielmi, Ruben Jais, Alfredo Bernardini, and Marco Mencoboni.


She has appeared on prominent stages across Italy and Europe, including the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Berliner Philharmonie, Philharmonie de Paris, Teatro alla Scala (Milan), Salzburger Festspiele, MiTo Settembre Musica, Festival della Valle d’Itria (Martina Franca), LaVerdi Barocca (Milan), Malta Baroque Festival, Festival de La Chaise-Dieu, Pergolesi Festival (Jesi), Roma Festival Barocco, Festival d’Ambronay, Utrecht Early Music Festival, Göttingen International Handel Festival, Opéra de Lyon, Antwerpen Singel Festival, and the Zagreb Festival.


Before dedicating herself primarily to early music, she worked with leading Italian opera houses, including Teatro alla Scala (Milan), Teatro Regio (Turin), Teatro Regio (Parma), and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.


She has recorded for prestigious labels such as Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, with the Ghislieri Choir & Consort, and Erato, with I Barocchisti—performing solos on the acclaimed CD La storia di Orfeo, alongside Philippe Jaroussky.
