Born in Turin, Danilo Pastore is one of the most appreciated young Italian countertenors.
He graduated with honours from the Conservatory “Guido Cantelli” of Novara, with Roberto Balconi, and completed his studies, graduating summa cum laude from the Post-graduate Academy of Higher Artistic and Musical Education “Lorenzo Perosi” of Biella, with Manuela Custer, and the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” of Ravenna, with Alda Caiello. He also graduated, summa cum laude, in Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa and in Linguistics at the University of Turin.
He has collaborated with important musical groups in both early and contemporary music (AltreVoci Ensemble, Cluster Musica Contemporanea, Cantores Graduales, Ensemble Mare Nostrum, Gli Invaghiti, Cappella Musicale Corradiana, Stradella Young Project, Divertimento Ensemble, Ensemble bolognese San Pietro, Ensemble Il Narvalo, Ensemble Didone Abbandonata, I Madrigalisti Estensi, Accademia La Chimera, Allegri Penitenti, Gesualdo Consort of Gesualdo, Accademia dei Solinghi, Cappella Musicale della Cattedrale di Vercelli, Ars Cantica Choir & Consort and the ensembles he founded, La Estrella Ensemble, Selenografie Art Collective and The Feminine Monarchie), performing for renowned festivals and theatres in Italy and abroad including Teatro DAMSLab.
