CLASS DESCRIPTION

Experience the art of movement in a whole new light with our workshop on the art of graceful, efficient, and intuitive motion. Emphasising the importance of fluidity and precision, we'll explore the many ways in which we can use our bodies to achieve greater control, while unleashing our imaginations through a variety of creative improvisations. Through this process of experimentation and exploration, we'll uncover new ways to move and express ourselves in space, leading to instant compositions that are both dynamic and expressive.

Lisard Tranis

Lisard trained at Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. He won first prize in the Certamen Internacional de Dansa competition. Later joined Verve, (Northern School of Contemporary Dance’s Postgraduate) and received the Outstanding Postgraduate Achievement Award that year. Since graduating Lisard has worked with Lali Ayguadé Company, Guy Nader & Maria Campos, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Hagit Yakira Dance, James Wilton Dance and Cie. José Besprosvany, among others. Furthermore, Lisard has been teaching in various festivals and countries and has a deep interest in developing his own language as both a choreographer and teacher.
