We present this protest piece that rejects the notion that people cannot change; where we as two artists embark on a journey of transformation through movement, sound, and material in an attempt to prove the statement wrong. In reality who is born round CAN die square. and also oval, rectangular or trapezoidal.
Everything in the world, natural or artificial, has a specific shape. Origami, also called paper folding, uses specific folding techniques to create beautiful objects and figures from a simple piece of paper. If the paper can achieve these feats, why can’t we? Human form is not static, it is dynamic.
Unlike Origami, human form and interaction aren't always beautiful, we’re messy, eccentric, shy, angry and we are sensitive to change. Unshaped Origami brings us two performers together to shape, fold and shift in their journey through the anatomy of change.
