For the second year, the Malta International Arts Festival will join forces with Refugee Week Malta festival for a Community Art Project. Artist Pep Walls will lead the creation of a captivating Street Art Mural with participants forming part of the refugee, asylum seeking and local communities. Together, they will explore themes resonating with Refugee Week's focus of this year, "Our Home" and develop a collaborative masterpiece that transcends borders, where the mural emerges as a representation of the diverse voices of people residing in Malta.

Pep Herrera

Pep Walls is a multifaceted artist based in Barcelona, through his career he has worked with different artistic media, from sculpture to printmaking and installation, but above all he has focused his work on mural painting. Pep studied fine arts at the University of Barcelona and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He started painting graffiti in 2015, and actually he has been painting in many european countries.
