Il-Fatt tar-Reġjun Port

The first għana to be presented during the first edition of Festgħana will be the winning għana tal-fatt from the course on għana tal-fatt focusing on the Port Region. This piece has been selected from submissions by participants in a competition.

For this first edition, the chosen fatt, written by Bradley Cachia is called Traġedja Ġo Kordin (A Tragedy in Kordin). Żeppi Zahra l-Muni will be performing għana folk song, accompanied on guitar by Johnny Grima tal-Belt and Mark Vella ta’ Kalċ (prim).

Festgħana intends to continue to present more competitions related to għana tal-fatt and contemporary themes each year.
