Il-Karnival tas-Sajf se jerġa’ lura fi tliet irħula mifruxin madwar Malta- Birżebbuġa, San Pawl il-Baħar u Marsaskala. Dan l-avveniment qed ikun organizzat minn Festivals Malta b’kollaborazzjoni mal-Kunsilli Lokali rispettivi u se jkun qed iseħħ f’dawn il-lokalitajiet fi ġranet differenti mit-18 u l-20 ta’ Awwissu mit-8pm ‘il quddiem.

Dawn id-dettalji tħabbru mill-Ministru għall-Wirt Nazzjonali, l-Arti u l-Gvern Lokali Owen Bonnici li qal li l-Karnival tas-Sajf hu opportunita’ oħra biex l-artisti bravi mmens li jaħdmu fil-qasam tal-Karnival jesebixxu t-talenti tagħhom lill-pubbliku u lit-turisti li jżuruna fil-ġranet Sajfin.

“Il-Karnival tas-Sajf mhux biss huwa opportunità għan-nies li jgħixu f’Malta biex jesperjenzaw il-kuluri, karrijiet u ż-żfin li jġib miegħu l-Karnival ta’ Malta fuq skala iżgħar, imma wkoll huwa mezz li bih nistgħu nxerrdru l-għarfien dwar il-karnival bħala tip ta’ artiġġjanat artisiku,” saħaq il-Ministru Bonnici.

“Ta’ kull sena, Il-Karnival ta’ Malta li norganizzaw fi Frar jirnexxielu jattira eluf ta’ Maltin u turisti. Madankollu, ħafna mit-turisti li jżuru pajjiżna fis-Sajf ma jkollhomx l-opportunità li jesperjenzaw l-arti u l-artiġġjanat tal-Karnival. B’hekk, Il-Karnival tas-Sajf huwa mezz li bih inxerrdu t-talenti tad-dilettanti tal-karnival ma’ udjenza aktar wiesgħa fiż-żmien meta pajjiżna jara l-aktar turisti matul is-sena” stqarr Aaron Zahra, iċ-Chairman ta’ Festivals Malta.

"Il-Karnival tas-Sajf is not only an opportunity for people who live in Malta to experience the colours, carnival floats and dancing that is synonymous with the Maltese Carnival on a smaller scale, but also a means through which greater awareness is given to carnival as a type of artisanal artistry." claimed Minister Bonnici

“Every year, the Malta Carnival which we organise in February attracts thousands of Maltese people and tourists. That being said, many tourists who visit our country in summer do not have the opportunity to experience the art and artisanal work that make up Carnival. Therefore, Il-Karnival tas-Sajf is a means by which we can share the talents of Carnival artisans with a wider audience during the period when Malta is visited by the most tourists” stated Aaron Zahra, Festivals Malta’s Chairman.

“This event is of considerable importance to Festivals Malta. This is because we are giving another opportunity to Carnival’s amateur artists to show their brilliant work whilst giving a taster of what can be expected during the Carnival that happens in February,” said Frans Agius, Festivals Malta CEO.
