Diane Portelli
Diane embarked on her dance journey at age three, training at the prestigious Tanya Bayona Princess Poutiatine Academy of Ballet. With a focus on classical ballet, modern, contemporary, and flamenco, she dedicated years to honing her skills. Recognized with awards such as the Luisello Award for Spanish Dance and the Duke of Ellington Award for Modern Dance, Diane continued her pursuit of excellence with additional training in Pavia, Italy, and international workshops with esteemed companies like Random Dance Company and Ultima Vez. Her global presence peaked at the World Championships for Performing Arts in Hollywood, winning two gold medals under Janet Vella's guidance. Diane's creations, including "Shades of Perception" for Malta's National Dance Company, Zfinmalta, showcase her diverse talent. From a dancer with Moveo Dance Company in 2013, she evolved into a choreographer and director, receiving accolades like the "Artist of the Year" award in 2018. Diane's international acclaim expanded with her choreography, "Diversely Typical," winning the 'Best Steam Project Award' in 2021. Her journey underscores unwavering dedication, creativity, and exceptional talent, leaving an indelible mark on the global stage of performing arts. Sponsored by APS Bank & Finaro
