The Malta Jazz Festival Opening Concert features acclaimed Italian guitarist Daniele Cordisco and his tiro. He will be presenting a programme of bebop and hard bop tunes and also some pearls from the Great American Songbook. This opening concert will also be a fitting hommage to Bud Powell, whose centennial anniversary we will be celebrating this year. Daniele will be accompanied by French drummer Lionel Boccara and local bass player Oliver Degabriele.
