Festivals Malta invites local professional Opera singers to audition for "Valeriana - The Titan's Rock", a four-act Opera originally composed in part by Maestro Joseph Vella and completed by Maestro Christopher Muscat with Libretto written by Vincent Vella.
The Opera will premier in April 2023. Auditions for this opera will be held on Monday 24th January 2022 at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta, under the Artistic Direction of Tatiana Lisnic.
Requirements:
Applicants must have the following to be eligible to apply:
- Relevant stage experience
- Are currently residing in Malta
- Be between 25 and 55 years of age
- Have a voice category of either of the following:
- Soprano
- Mezzo-Soprano
- Tenor
- Baritone
- Bass.
How to Apply:
Interested applicants are to send an email with their CV, together with their headshot image in high-definition and a score in PDF of one operatic aria of their choice (3 to 5 min in length) to monique.saliba.1@festivals.mt. Applicants must perform their aria by heart, during the audition on the 24th of January 2022 at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta. The chosen applicants who will form part of the cast, will be informed a week after the audition date.
Singers applying for this audition may also be considered for future similar projects by Festivals Malta.
