Qualifications and Experience Required:


Candidates must in possession of a recognized Bachelor’s Degree qualification at MQF Level 6 (subject to a minimum of 180 ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent, with regard to programmes commencing as from October 2003) Fine Arts in Digital Arts, Events Management or a comparable professional qualification, plus one (1) year relevant work experience.



Job description:

  1. To Develop in consultation with the Director appropriate campaigns, strategies and materials for promoting the entity's initiatives and programmes.

  2. To develop and establish strong communication channels with the national and international press, sectoral networks, international associations, and other respective groups, and to work with the Executive Chairman, Director and the associates to maximize on the opportunities for Malta's CCS both nationally and abroad.

  3. To manage the design of print-based and digital-version of marketing/promotional material and coordinate schedules.

  4. To update and distribute media kits, press releases and information sheets.

  5. To manage and maintain the Festivals Malta website, and keep it up to date.

  6. To manage and maintain the individual Festivals websites within Festivals Malta website, and keep them up to date.

  7. To maintain Festivals Malta Blog posts with provided articles and press releases.

  8. To maintain Festivals Malta domains, hosting and updated DNS and Mailbox records in conjunction with MITA

  9. To issue and monitor Festivals Malta Website analytics.

  10. To monitor releases, new stories, radio and TV interviews, websites, etc.

  11. To develop and update materials relating to strategy and policy matters and the performance of the CCS not be used in press releases, speeches etc.

  12. To consider and advise senior management on the potential communications implications of new or proposed industry policies and programmes and makes proposals to senior management to enable the Festivals Malta and the Public Cultural Organizations to achieve a better public image.

  13. To develop reports on internal and external communication with stakeholders identifying issues, problems, unmet needs and service gaps, and recommending initiatives and amendments to policies and programmes, as required.

  14. To prepare briefing and presentation material for the Ministries responsible for Culture, the Executive Chairman and/or Director as well as any correspondence, speech notes, discussion documents and position and position papers as required.

  15. Attending during Tender Opening Sessions and other pertinent assignments in order to ensure that all the stipulated regulations are adhered to;

  16. Serving as a secretary in the evaluation boards as requested;

  17. Operating IT Systems, including the e-procurement portal (e-PPS), used for the management of calls for tenders and reporting of public procurement;

  18. Any other duties according to the exigencies
