Minħabba ċ-ċirkostanzi li ġabet magħha l-pandemija tal-Covid-19, Festivals Malta qed iħabbar li l-edizzjoni tal-Karnival tas-Sajf ta’ din is-sena mhux ser isir biex jiġu mħarsa l-miżuri maħruġa mill-awtoritajiet tas-saħħa rigward attivitajiet tal-massa.
Il-Kap Eżekuttiv ta’ Festivals Malta, Annabelle Stivala spjegat, “Minħabba l-miżuri li ttieħdu fuq l-avvenimenti tal-massa, Festivals Malta ħass li l-Karnival tas-Sajf m'għandux isir bħala prekawzjoni, biex mhux biss nissalvagwardjaw is-saħħa tal-impjegati, l-artisti, l-parteċipanti tal-karnival u l-krew tekniku tagħna, iżda ukoll dik tal-udjenzi tagħna. F’isem Festivals Malta nixtieq nirringrazzja lill-artisti, l-parteċipanti u lil dawk kollha involuti tax-xogħol tagħhom u tal-kooperazzjoni li dejjem urew.”
Minkejja li din l-attività mhux ser issir, Festivals Malta xorta qed jaħdem fuq diversi proġetti, li jinkludu Mużika Mużika Sajf u l-programm televiżiv il-ġdid Mużika Mużika Il-Vjaġġ Ikompli, fost oħrajn.
