The Malta International Arts Festival (MIAF) is pleased to announce the fourth edition of Young Creatives in Motion, an initiative designed to inspire, support and showcase young dancers across Malta.

This programme provides an opportunity for dance schools to choreograph an original music composition that will be performed live by professional musicians. Young Creatives in Motion will take place at Teatru Manoel in June 2026 as part of the MIAF programme. MIAF is committed to nurturing emerging talent across diverse dance genres and offering a professional platform for young dancers and choreographers.

Programme Objectives :

· To increase access to dance throughout Malta

· To raise artistic standards among young performers

· To enhance career progression opportunities for emerging creatives

· To perform with professional musicians

· To support teachers and leaders contributing to the development of Malta’s dance community

Event Information:

· Eligible Age Group: 14–20 years

· Venue: Manoel Theatre, Valletta, Malta

· Stage Dimensions: 8m x 12m (L x W)

· Commission Fee: €500 (excluding VAT)

· Application Deadline: 17^th January 2026 by noon

· Performance and Rehearsal Dates: To be confirmed

· Rehearsal with Musicians: To be confirmed

Application Requirements:

1. Name of Dance School/Organisation

2. Name of Dance Leader

3. Name of Choreographer

4. Number of dancers (including their names)

5. A video link showcasing recent choreographic work (maximum 3 minutes). 6. Contract Signatory (Legal name) 7. VAT number If VAT is Exempt: - Please confirm that the VAT number is registered on the same individual signing the contract. If Vat number is registered on a company, please provide company name and address.)
