Employment Type: Full Time - Indefinite Contract

Basic Salary: €25,656


  • Candidates must in possession of a recognized Master’s qualification at MQF Level 7 (subject to a minimum of 60ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent, with regard to programmes commencing as from October 2008) in Business Management/Administration, and/or Tourism studies and/or relevant areas , plus one (1) year relevant work experience.

OR

  • Candidates must be in possession of a recognized Bachelor’s qualification at MQF Level 6 (subject to a minimum of 180 ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent, with regard to programmes commencing as from October 2008) in Business Management and/or Administration, and/or Tourism studies and/or relevant areas, plus three (3) years relevant work experience.

Competencies:

  1. Managing the entire festival programme while overseeing the execution and implementation of same.

  2. Managing logistics, operations and all other requirements and ensuring that all is in place

  3. Managing all events effectively while ensuring that all activities run smoothly

  4. Managing a variety of tasks to deliver the festival to an excellent standard

  5. Coordinating with government entities

  6. Liaising with all stakeholders

  7. Lead the execution of the programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders, pco’s, agencies and other partners while leveraging the right internal processes

  8. Develop and manage clear procurement policies

  9. Supporting the director and the marketing in terms of brand management.

  10. Executing a development plan for each festival with artistic director

  11. Preparing timelines for the production of the festival

  12. Leading on the delivery of all administrative and support functions

  13. Ensuring all teams are supported throughout the festival

  14. Supporting and managing all staff in managing supplies and resources

  15. Ensuring duties and areas of responsibility are appropriately delegated and monitored

  16. Manage of all operational and marketing budgets including analysis and reporting to the director.

  17. Preparing budgets and updating regularly

  18. Following environmental and sustainability policies

  19. Liaising with agencies in the management and tenancy of the all venues

  20. Managing the get in of temporary sites during the festival, ensuring appropriate premises, it, power and connectivity are in line with requirements

  21. Contributing to and drive the delivery of a ticketing it strategy, in partnership with the box office and it services supplier

  22. Operate it systems including the e-procurement portal (epps), used for management of calls for tenders and reporting of public procurement

  23. Assisting in the detailed monitoring and enforcement of public procurement procedures and ensuring that all procurement documents are in line with the applicable procedural and technical requirements, whilst ensuring confidentiality of sensitive procurement information at all times and ensuring compliance in such proceedings.

  24. Sit on the evaluation committees when necessary.

  25. Attending during tender opening sessions when requested and other pertinent assignments in order to ensure that all the stipulated regulations are adhered to.

  26. Evaluating the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives

  27. Proposing and manage research projects to understand ways of developing the festival

  28. Managing the legal and practical health and safety requirements of the organisation, utilising professional advice where required

  29. Ensuring that appropriate insurances are in place throughout the festival cycle

  30. Ensuring that insurances are well maintained and reflect the needs of the organisation and that these offer adequate protection for the particular festival

  31. In partnership with the director, arranging required staff training associated with fire safety, first aid and health and safety

  32. Exploring opportunities for growth and maximisation of sales in line with existing policies

  33. Establishing sales targets for the festival and overseeing the delivery of initiatives to support and deliver these

  34. Following any other ad hoc assignments in relation to festivals as may be directed and agreed with director festivals malta.

  35. Working during weekends and public holidays including evenings as per the agency’s exigencies

  36. He/she shall work under the supervision of director festivals and shall be the leader on projects assigned to him/her.
