Mużika Mużika rritorna sentejn ilu fl-2021 u ħa post il-Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija, fejn minkejja l-pandemija Festivals Malta rnexxielu jtella’ produzzjoni televiżiva b’suċċess li rat aktar minn 320,000 telespettatur isegwu b’mod dirett tul it-tlett ijiem tal-festival. L-ewwel edizzjoni tal-festival intrebħet mill-kanzunetta Ħarsa Biss, interpretata minn Glen Vella b’lirika ta’ Joe Julian Farrugia u kompożizzjoni ta’ Philip Vella, filwaqt li t-tieni edizzjoni intrebħet mill-kanzunetta Bla Tarf, interpretata u miktuba minn Kurt Calleja, b’kompożizzjoni ta’ Kurt Calleja, Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur u Peter Borg.
Sa mit-tnedija tiegħu l-festival irnexxielu jikseb rispett u popolarità kbira kemm ma’ bosta artisti, kompożituri u awturi lokali, kif ukoll mat-telespettaturi li għandhom il-kanzunetta Maltija ferm għal qalbhom. Mużika Mużika reġa’ qajjem wkoll l-interess f’kompożizzjonijiet bil-Malti, b’żieda ta’ kanzunetti bil-lingwa Maltija kemm f’festivals lokali oħra, kif ukoll fuq diversi stazzjonijiet tar-radju lokali.
Din is-sena, Mużika Mużika ser jittella’ fit-23, l-24 u l-25 ta’ Marzu fl-MFCC, Ta’ Qali u ser jixxandar b’mod dirett fuq Television Malta. Il-festival jiftaħ il-Ħamis 23 ta’ Marzu bis-semifinali, fejn 20 kanzunetta jikkompetu għal post fil-finali. L-għada l-Ġimgħa 24 ta’ Marzu, l-festival ikompli b’serata ta’ kanzunetti klassiċi, fejn l-20 semifinalist jinterpretaw kanzunetti klassiċi Maltin flimkien ma’ kantanti lokali stabbiliti. L-istennija tkun lejn it-tmiem ta’ din is-serata fejn jitħabbru t-12-il finalist tal-festival. Fl-aħħar ġurnata tal-festival is-Sibt 25 ta’ Marzu, it-12-il kanzunetta finalista jikkompetu għall-ewwel post. Ir-rebbieħ tal-festival jirbaħ is-somma ta’ €20,000. It-tieni klassifikat jirbaħ is-somma ta’ €10,000 u t-tielet klassifikat jirbaħ €5,000. Kull kanzunetta li tgħaddi għall-finali tingħata s-somma ta’ €500 bħala għajnuna biex isiru l-arranġamenti orkestrali meħtieġa.

With Mużka Mużika just one month away, Festivals Malta announces that tickets for the festival are on sale as of today. Tickets for all three performances can be bought from the festival's official website muzikamuzika.mt
Mużika Mużika returned in 2021 replacing the Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija. Despite it being organised during the pandemic, Festivals Malta managed to pull-off a successful television show viewed live by around 320,000 televiewers across the festival’s three days. The first edition of the festival was won by the song Ħarsa Biss, performed by Glen Vella, written by Joe Julian Farrugia, and composed by Philip Vella, while the second edition was won by the song Bla Tarf, performed, and written by Kurt Calleja, and composed by Kurt Calleja, Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur and Peter Borg.
Since its launch, the festival has managed to gain the respect and popularity of many local artists, composers, and authors, as well as numerous viewers who appreciate the Maltese song. Mużika Mużika has also rekindled interest in Maltese compositions, with an increased number of songs being composed in the Maltese language, which were performed in other local festivals, and hit the airwaves of various local radio stations.
This year, Mużika Mużika will take place on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of March at MFCC, Ta' Qali. The festival will also be broadcast live on Television Malta. Mużika Mużika opens on Thursday 23rd March with the semifinal, where the 20 songs will compete for a place in the finals. The following day, Friday 24th March, the festival will continue with an evening of classic Maltese songs, where the 20 semifinalists will interpret various Maltese hits together with established local singers. At the end of the second day, the 12 finalists of the festival will be announced. On the last day of the festival, on Saturday 25th March, the 12 finalists will compete for the winning title. The winner of the festival takes home the sum of €20,000, the runner-up wins the sum of €10,000, and the song which comes in third wins €5,000. Each song that makes it to the final will be given the sum of €500 to help with any orchestral arrangements required.
