Il-Ministru Bonnici jżur il-provi tal-festival MUŻIKA MUŻIKA u jiltaqa’ mal-mużiċisti, kantanti u l-organizzaturi
Il-Ministru għall-Wirt Nazzjonali, l-Arti u l-Gvern Lokali Dr Owen Bonnici ltaqa’ mal-mużiċisti, kantanti u l-organizzaturi tal-Festival ta’ Kanzunetta Maltija Mużika Mużika, waqt iż-żjara tiegħu fl-MFCC, Ta’ Qali. L-edizzjoni ta’ din is-sena, li hi t-tieni waħda, se tittella’ fuq tliet serati bejn il-21 ta’ April u t-23 t’April ġewwa l-MFCC, Ta’ Qali.
Waqt iż-żjara, Dr Bonnici faħħar it-tim organizzattiv għax-xogħol tajjeb li sar bi preparazzjoni għal dan il-festival. “Irridu nkomplu ninvestu f’dan il-festival li jservi wkoll bħala pjattaforma fejn l-artisti jesponu t-talenti tagħhom bil-lingwa nattiva tagħna,” qal il-Ministru Bonnici.
Huwa kompla jgħid: “Dan il-Festival jiċċelebra l-ġmiel tal-kanzunetta Maltija. Ser inkomplu naħdmu biex dan il-Festival ikompli jkun ta’ suċċess sena wara sena u jibqa’ jkun appuntament annwali. Irridu niżguraw li aktar kantanti Maltin ikollhom opportunitajiet biex ikomplu jibnu l-karrieri mużikali tagħhom b’mod professjonali u bl-ogħla livell, kif nistgħu naraw f’dan il-Festival.”
“Bħalissa għaddejin bil-provi u bl-aħħar preparamenti qabel x-xogħol kollu jilħaq il-qofol tiegħu nhar il-Ħamis, il-Ġimgħa u s-Sibt. Żgur li ser ikunu tlett iljieli indimentikabbli li huma prova ċara tal-livell għoli tat-talent li għandna f’Malta. Jiena kburija li Festivals Malta flimkien mal-kuntratturi u l-bord ta' Mużika Mużika kollha għal darb’oħra rnexxielu joħloq produzzjoni tal-għola livell.” Annabelle Stivala, Kap Eżekuttiv ta’ Festivals Malta.
Din is-sena l-festival iġġenera interess kbir fost l-artisti lokali, b’170 sottomissjoni, li minnhom intgħażlu 20 kanzunetta tal-għola livell, b’ġeneri differenti ta’ mużika u diversi kantanti kemm veterani kif ukoll oħrajn li għadhom ġodda fix-xena mużikali. Ma’ dawn l-20 kanzunettu u gruppi semifinalisti ingħaqdet wkoll ir-rebbieħa tal-programm ta’ taħriġ mużikali – Mużika Mużika – Il-Vjaġġ Ikompli.
Il-preparamenti għat-tliet serati għaddejin ġmielhom. Bħalissa għaddejjin il-provi tal-kanzunetti fuq il-palk verament sabiħ li nbena apposta għal din l-edizzjoni. Apparti minn hekk, qed isiru wkoll diversi preparamenti tekniċi bħal soundchecks u provi tad-dawl.

Minister Bonnici visits the rehearsals session of MUŻIKA MUŻIKA, meeting musicians, artists, and the production team.
Minister for National Heritage, the Arts, and Local Government Owen Bonnici visited the musicians, artists, and organizers of the Maltese Song Festival “Mużika Mużika.” This year’s second edition will be held on three evenings between the 21st and 23rd of April at the MFCC in Ta Qali.
During the visit, Dr. Bonnici congratulated the organizing team for the remarkable work in preparation for the festival. “We want to continue investing in this festival which also serves as a platform for artists to express themselves in our native language,” Minister Bonnici said.
“This festival,” Dr. Bonnici said, “celebrates the beauty of Maltese music. We shall continue working so that this festival gains more popularity and keeps the annual appointment. We need to ensure that more Maltese artists have opportunities to build a professional musical career”.
“We are currently undergoing final preparations for the festival, which will peak on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We are certain that these will be three unforgettable nights that will serve as a testament to Malta’s high level of talent. I am proud that Festivals Malta, together with all contractors and the Mużika Mużika board, was once again able to organize a production of this calibre.” Annabelle Stivala, Festivals Malta CEO.
This year there were 170 submissions; 20 were chosen from different genres and different artists, the winner from the program “Mużika Mużika - il-vjaġġ ikompli” was also, added to the 20 selected songs.
Currently, rehearsals are being performed on an artistic stage explicitly built for this year’s edition. Technical preparations such as soundchecks and lighting tests are well underway.
